General Motors has confirmed that the most exciting Buick in about 20 years has been given the green light for production.  Based on the Opel Insignia, the GS will most likely feature a turbo, direct injected 4cyl with around 255HP, Haldex all wheel drive, and a 6 speed manual (yes, a manual in a Buick).  Very cool.

I'm all for GM finally getting out of the Buick = "old fart" stereotype just as they did with Cadillac and the CTS.
